My name is Dr Sasha Aivazpourporgou. I’m a mum, a triathlete, and a geophysicist,
working at the intersection of science, technology, and real-world impact. Through my
work, I’m focused on solving complex problems, but I’ve always believed that some of the
most important challenges are the most fundamental ones, like access to clean water. As
a mother, it’s difficult to ignore the reality that in many parts of the world, women and
children spend hours each day walking to collect unsafe water. That’s why I care deeply
about the mission of Ripples of Change.
I bring a problem-solving mindset, experience in leading multidisciplinary projects, and a
strong drive to turn ideas into practical outcomes. Through my triathlon journey and
connections within the mining and resources industry, I’m focused on raising funds and
awareness to support this work. I’m passionate about bringing together these communities
to back practical, on-the-ground solutions so we can help reduce the daily burden on
families and create lasting change in Uganda.
