Before, my life was not easy. I could not walk and I was struggling every day. I was always at home and could not do much. When I heard I will get legs, I did not believe it at first. When I got them, I was very happy. Now I can walk and look after my sheep which was also donated to me by Carly. My life is better now. I thank Carly and all people who helped me. You have given me hope again. May God bless you for changing my life.

Supporting Molly through Ripples of Change Uganda was an easy decision. What stood out to me was the transparency — knowing that 100% of my monthly donation goes directly to Molly’s education, food, clothing, and shelter gave me complete confidence that my support was truly making a difference. Watching my boys grow up with so many opportunities highlighted just how fortunate they are and reinforced why supporting Molly matters so much to me. Seeing the positive change in her life has been incredibly moving — a feeling I can’t quite describe. It’s simply wonderful to witness such an incredible transformation in such a short time. I would absolutely encourage others to get involved; it’s a powerful opportunity to help break the cycle and create a future filled with possibility.

Volunteering with Ripples of Change Uganda was really rewarding. I loved that there was a strong sense of community at each event along with the energy, fun, and a positive atmosphere. I was lucky enough to help with running the Play for Water event, it was a huge success thanks to Carly’s organisation and passion, that inspired everyone involved. It was a great turnout that raised over $9,000.00 which was amazing! Knowing that the funds were going towards access to clean water made the experience even more meaningful and really made me realise just how lucky we are. I had never done anything like this before, so being able to combine something I enjoy with giving back, made it all worthwhile.

At Morayfield Dental Studio, we believe healthcare is about improving quality of life, and access to clean water is one of the most important foundations of health. We first found out about Carly and Ripples of Change Uganda through a family friend. After speaking with Carly, I really connected with the passion and drive she had for the project. What stood out to us was the transparency and constant live feedback showing exactly where the money was going and the direct impact it was making within the community. Knowing that a single water tank can provide clean water to hundreds of people made this feel like a meaningful and lasting way for our business to give back. We are proud to support this cause and will be pledging to help fund water tanks every year with Carly. We’re looking forward to continuing to see the positive changes this project creates for communities in Uganda.

Working with Ripples of Change Uganda on building water tanks has been an incredible experience. I work as a foreman in the construction of reinforced concrete water tanks, where I supervise workers, organizing tasks, and ensure quality work from foundation to completion. My responsibilities include setting, monitoring reinforcement, and supervising concrete mixing, pouring, and curing. The project has greatly improved access to clean water, reducing the distance people travel and improving hygiene. Personally, I have gained valuable skills, experience, and income which helped to save for my university fees. Working with Ripples of Change Uganda has been positive and I therefore recommend anyone who’s interested in supporting or working with them to get involved. This project is making a real difference, and it’s something worth being a part of.

I have followed Carly’s commitment to improving access to clean water since her very first trip to Uganda. Witnessing her journey through the stories and photos she shared on Facebook was both inspiring and eye-opening, encouraging me to reflect on the privileges we often take for granted and the difference one person can make. I was eager for Carly to speak with my healthcare students at my school so they could see firsthand how one person’s dedication can create meaningful change. Her presentation was engaging, informative, and age-appropriate, while also challenging students to consider how they can make a difference in their own lives. Her passion and knowledge encouraged thoughtful discussion about global issues and inspired students to be part of the solution.

When I first heard about Play for Water Netball Event, it instantly became something I wanted to be a part of. The small act of playing a game that I love, that had a massive outcome- clean drinking water for people in Uganda. Play for Water really hit home for me, when I heard about the small children and the task of fetching water vs learning at school. All children have a right to a fun, rich childhood, with their basic needs met. I am so blessed to be a part of a community that I value and have many friends. It was so easy to reach out to my friends and create a team, what I didn’t expect was the volume of supporters, 1 team turned into 7 teams. The netball community became so invested, that we just kept making more teams. Play for Water is a fun day out for sport lovers and families. The joy of watching our own children cheer and celebrate their parents on the court is a gift I don’t think Ripples for Change Uganda realised they gave us. Play for Water was coordinated and managed by volunteers, received donations for raffles and prizes from local businesses, other people donating their time and skill all for the basic right to have access to clean drinking water. Play for Water was an inclusive event that allowed all skill levels to participate. Creating these events serves all communities, Uganda received clean water, we received the knowledge of how we can all make a difference. It doesn’t take a lot to contribute in your own way. All contributions lead to these significant outcomes that we have the joy of watching through Ripples of Change Uganda’s videos. I am looking forward to the next Play for Water events and encourage you all to be a part of something that is so special. Come participate any way you can, when you see the real outcomes for real people, it worth every minute, every effort. Clean Water is just the beginning.
